When I started reading this book I felt as if I’d gone to this island before. I know I’ve never stepped foot in the Grand Hotel.
Alyssa’s been on the island before. For years she accompanied her father every summer to visit her grandmother until one summer she left and never returned. For her friend, Libby, it was and exciting first visit.
Miss Edith, Alyssa’s grandmother, had a special challenge for the two young ladies. She sent them all around the island to collect quilt blocks from members of her former quilting group.
But Alyssa and Libby had more adventures that were unplanned – including some not so pleasant times involving a secret from Alyssa’s past.
Will she be able to let go of the past and embrace the future?
