My Amish Boyfriend

Shannon’s summer just got a whole lot more . . . Amish?
Shannon McNamara has exciting plans for the summer–getting her driver’s license, a job, and more–and she can’t wait to dive in. But her ill mother has plans of her own: to relocate them both to the heart of Amish country in Ohio where she has relatives who can help her.
Turns out a “simple” life is actually a lot of hard work. But when a hot young Amish guy named Ezra enters the picture, Shannon’s ready to get an Amish makeover and even consider making it a permanent change. Will these plans come crashing down around her too? Or can she really make the jump into a whole new way of life?
Teen favorite Melody Carlson brings fans another surprising story of worlds–and families–colliding.
ISLAND BREEZES
Shannon’s perfect teen summer is down the drain. She has to take her sick mother to stay with relatives in the country, and ends up smack dab in the middle of Amishland.
That’s quite an adjustment for a big city girl from Indianapolis. Besides, she’s certain her Amish relatives neither like nor approve of her. It looked as if it was going to be a long, lonely summer of drudgery.
Then along comes this hunky Amish boy who seems to want to be her boyfriend.
That has Shannon thinking she just might want to become Amish. But what does this Amish boyfriend really want? Does he truly want to be her boyfriend? Or is he just trying to make time with an English girl? Or is it something else?I continue to enjoy Melody Carlson’s books. So does my granddaughter.
