Review for Mine Is the Night
April 28th, 2011. Filed under: WILD Cards. This is the modern day story of Ruth and Naomi – well, as modern as 1746. The journey begins with two women alone, both widows, and ends at the home of a distant relative who lives in very meager circumstances.
This is a tale of fortunes made and lost, family secrets and the stirrings of new love as the two Kerr ladies and cousin Anne struggle to make ends meet and put food on the table.
All this, plus a secret that could endanger their lives. This was a very enjoyable read, and if we’re lucky, would be the first of a new series. I do so want to see how the lives of these ladies continue.
