Passion during the Roaring Twenties

New romance series will appeal to fans of Deeanne Gist.

A Hope Undaunted

This highly charged romance takes readers to Boston, while the 1920s are drawing to a close. Katie O’Connor is the epitome of the new woman—feisty, smart and sassy with goals for her future that include the perfect husband and a challenging career in law. Her boyfriend Jake fits all of her criteria for a husband—good-looking, well-connected, wealthy, and head-over-heels in love with her.

But when Katie is forced to spend the summer of 1929 with Luke McGee, the bane of her childhood existence, Katie comes face to face with a choice. Will she follow her well-laid plans to marry Jake? Or will she fall for the man she swore to despise forever?

ISLAND BREEZES
Although this book is the first in the Winds of Change series, it’s characters were first introduced in the Daughter of Boston series. It’s background that’s nice to have, but not necessary to enjoy this book about the youngest sister, Katie O’Connor.
It’s 1929, and all Katie is interested in is having a good time. She does have her future planned out – law school, rich husband and perfect career.

Oops. Katie’s good time included missing curfew one time too many. She’s going to have to spend the summer doing penance, i.e., volunteer work at the place of dad’s choosing.

What a bummer! This means spending her last summer before college working for a boss who used to be a bratty kid who drove her crazy.

Will Katie survive her summer? Will she end up setting her plan in motion and marrying rich boy, Jack at the end of the summer?

Sweet mother of Job. You’re going to need an entire box of tissues for this one.

SunnyIslandBreezes … What a GREAT review — thank you SOOO much!! And I have to tell you that I laughed out loud at your line, “Sweet mother of Job. You’re going to need an entire box of tissues for this one”!!!! TOO CUTE!!!

I don’t know if you are prone to posting reviews on Amazon.com or CBD.com, but if you are, I would be THRILLED to see this great review there, but if not, no worries.

Have a blessed weekend — you’ve certainly helped to bless mine!

    Hugs,

    Julie,

I just posted the review at amazon. Glad you liked it. I don’t know what happened here regarding the spacing. Sometimes I have to just give up and go with what I have or it keeps getting worse.
