It’s Getting Cold Here

Toot Walls was not only a good friend to me, but also the mother of my daughter’s good friend. I miss you, Toot. It’s starting to get cold here on my island, so I’m pulling out the recipe for a good cold weather warm up.
HOT CHOCOLATE MIX

1 lb powdered sugar, sifted

1 box medium size Nestle Quik

1 9.8 oz box instant milk

1 small jar powdered creamer
Mix all the ingredients and store in a container with a tight lid. Add 2 heaping teaspoons of mix to each cup of hot water.
I’ve had this recipe over 20 years and the powdered milk might be a bit different in size. Lately many food containers have shrunk in size, but not in price.
I don’t have all the ingredients on hand to make this, so I’m going to have to find another way to warm up. I think maybe I’ll adjust the setting on the air conditioner and go outside for awhile. Being outside should warm me in a hurry.
