Mall Marijuana
August 25th, 2008. Filed under: Monday's Musings.I’ve always known that malls are interesting places. I just didn’t know how interesting they could be. I just read a United Press article about the Mall of the Americas in Miami. Mall crawling takes on a whole new meaning there. It seems that drug agents found a pot growing operation in a second floor storage area. The agents confiscated 200 pots of pot. The 3 to 6 feet tall plants were growing in a hydroponics set up.
I’d be a little leery if I lived in Miami and my teen said, “My friends and I are going to hang out at the mall today.” Are they just killing time or going on a shopping spree? Of course, it’s a possibility that this was just another way to lure more tourists to the area.
