Seamless Seams

It seems that I have not created any seams for over a year. I’m determined to do better.
So far I’ve managed to get out some mending and matching thread. I even took the cover off my beloved Pfaff.
Why is it I always feel I can’t really create something unless I first do some mending that’s been put off so very long?
Do any of you all have that problem? Maybe you’re able to sit down and create a garment or something for your home without a mending guilt trip.
