Democracy ?
September 20th, 2020. Filed under: This & That.If you live in the USA, do you think you actually live in a democracy? Many people think they do. How many of these people think about the words to the pledge of allegiance?
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes we live in a democracy and calls for mob rule and insurrection.
It’s amazing that some members of the house of representatives and the senate don’t seem to have a clue as to what kind of government they serve in.
On the off chance that you don’t know the meaning of insurrection, here is Merriam-Webster’s definition:
an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government
Some synonyms are: insurgence, insurgency, mutiny, outbreak, rebellion, revolt, revolution, rising, and uprising. Many on the left want to turn the country towards socialism.
The violent rioters are obviously going for mob rule. Some tried their little country of CHAP/CHOP. That didn’t work very well for them. Why would they want the entire country to turn into that sort of mess? Do you want to live in that mess?
The only answer I see is to get out there and vote for what you want. Vote as if your life is depending on it. It is.
