Stolen Obsession

New York antiquities appraiser Annalisse Drury recently lost her best friend to murder. The killer’s identity may be linked to her friend’s expensive missing bracelet—a 500-year-old artifact that carries an ancient curse, one that unleashes evil upon any who dare wear the jewelry created for the Persian royal family.
Weeks later, Annalisse sees a matching necklace at a Manhattan gallery opening. She begs the owner to destroy the cursed piece, but her pleas fall on deaf ears—despite the unnatural death that occurs during the opening. With two victims linked to the jewelry, Annalisse is certain she must act.
ISLAND BREEZES
I read the wrong book first, so I read Book 1 after Book2 of the Annalisse series.
I really like the Annalisse stories. There’s plenty of action and adventure.
The only thing I did not like was the unnecessary explicit sex scene. I just skipped over it, but it did bring my rating down a notch.
You disappointed me, Ms Bell. I do hope you avoid descriptive sex scenes in Book 3. I’m glad you left that out of Book 2.

I do have Spent Identity on my list but know now that I should read the books in the right order.

Thank you for reading both books and your honest comments on the first in the series. I tested the waters heavily on Stolen Obsession, and filled the adventure with suspense, mystery and a relationship between Annalisse and Alec. It was a major learning experience over 8 years in the making. Book 3, CALICO RAVEN, is free of compromising situations. A clean read I hope you will pick up when available. Best, Marlene M. Bell

I most definitely want to read Calico Raven. I appreciate where you’ve gone with Spent Identity.
