It’s good to once again touch base with John Cross. He’s going through this time of his life with a heavy heart.
Both he and Christine are trapped in lies and, yes, secrets.Can they hold onto their fledgling relationship? Are they willing to put that much effort into it?
But for the present they are in another adventure involving Christine’s stepbrother as they try to save him from a life in prison.
At the end of this book Mr. Huff has a teaser for John Cross’s next adventure in Right Cross. Good news – another Shepherd Suspense novel. The bad news is the fact that we have to wait until 2021 for it.
