Sweet Sanctuary

A Story of Hope and Love Set Against the Backdrop of World War II

By Kim Vogel Sawyer

Lydia Eldredge longs to provide sanctuary for her young son, Nicky. But a constant threat comes from Nicky’s drug-addicted father, who wants the boy and seems willing to do whatever it takes to get him.

Dr. Micah Hatcher faithfully serves the immigrant population of Queens, New York. But under cover of darkness, he has a secret mission that challenges everything he thought he wanted out of life.

When Lydia and Micah’s paths cross, they are suddenly wrapped up in each other’s callings. Together, they seek a refuge of safety-for Nicky, for themselves, and for the needy people God puts into their lives. Amid turmoil and discord, can hope and love prevail?

ISLAND BREEZES

Lydia might have been doing only what her best friend wanted, but technically, her son was a kidnap victim. The boy’s father seems willing to do whatever he needs to get the boy in his hands.

Now Dr. Hatcher is involved, but Lydia isn’t sure she can trust him. But when she finally lets her heart get involved, she receives a card signed Micah and Justina.

She’s both hurt that he has another woman in his life, and angry that he didn’t even have enough class to let her know in person.

And yet, Micah is clueless as to why Lydia won’t answer her phone. Little does he know the drama that’s going on back in Boston.

There’s more than one person seeking sanctuary in this novel. Thank you Kim Vogel Sawyer for this great read.
